Hole 1

Portsea starts with a par four that is tougher than it looks. The distance to the green is 370 metres. The fairway breaks from right to left and runs downhill and to the left. Cypress trees to the left and right can cause problems but a good drive will be carried by the fall of the land to a flat lie from which an approach with a lofted iron can be made. The second shot is uphill to a relatively flat green.
